Driven by a passion for cinema and theatre works, Paralel Audio was founded by producer and composer Andrew Bunsell. The studio has grown to include a dedicated team of professionals.

What We Do

Paralel Audio provides sound and music services for film, theatre, installation, and spoken word, with an emphasis on clarity, dynamics control, and translation across listening environments. The work moves between music and post-production—original score, sound design, dialogue cleanup, Foley, recording, and mix—depending on what the project requires.

We work on narrative and experimental film, documentary, theatre productions, installations, and podcasts. Projects can be delivered remotely from editorial files, or developed on-site when recording and collaboration are central to the process.

How We Work

The studio is built for collaboration. On many projects, Paralel Audio operates as the lead for sound and music within a wider production team—working closely with directors, producers, editors, performers, and engineers to deliver audio that integrates cleanly into the overall workflow.

The process is intentionally straightforward: a short conversation about references and deliverables, a clear plan, and disciplined iteration. The aim is to reduce friction while protecting what matters most—tone, pacing, and intent.

Typical Deliverables

  • Final mixes: stereo, nearfield/TV mix, and loudness-spec variants when required.
  • Stems: dialogue / music / FX (or custom stem groupings) for post and future revisions.
  • Alt mixes: M&E, VO-only, dialogue-only, instrumental, clean/explicit, or festival/broadcast versions.
  • Video deliverables: sync’d exports for review, plus audio-only deliverables for post teams.
  • Session handoff: consolidated files and clear naming for DAW or post workflows.

Background

Paralel Audio is led by producer and audio director Andrew Bunsell, with extensive experience across composition, post-production, recording, and live implementation. The studio’s work spans film soundtracks, spatial and installation audio, feature-length theatre productions, radio segments, and long-form spoken word.

This combination—creative authorship and production discipline—makes Paralel Audio effective in both intimate projects and complex, multi-stakeholder productions.
