Une Chimère is a forthcoming narrative film centred on the inner transformation of its central character. The sound and music approach was developed to articulate internal change, holding a deliberate balance between restraint and intensity. By avoiding overt sentimentality, the soundtrack supports shifts in perception, vulnerability and psychological rupture as the character’s inner landscape evolves.

Paralel Audio composed the original score and developed a layered system of ambient and atmospheric material designed to integrate closely with final audio post-production. The soundtrack combines a restrained piano theme with heavier textural elements, including drones and sub-based sound, to articulate shifts in intimacy, disorientation and inner transformation. Parts of the score were recorded with cello and processed using analogue tape techniques to extend time, introduce material imperfection and blur the boundary between musical and concrete sound. Multiple stylistic versions were delivered in collaboration with the director and director of photography, then edited, mixed and mastered for integration with dialogue and picture.
